The Young Kulas has beaten the Cook Islands 3-2 on penalties to win bronze in the OFC U-19 Women’s Championship in Tahiti.

The match had ended with a nil-all draw after extra time.

The Young Kulas created chances and kept challenging the Cooks but their goalkeeper and Player of the Match Kimberly Uini stood tall, making crucial saves to keep Fiji at bay.

The Cook Islands defence held firm under constant Fiji pressure, with Elesi Tabunase continuing to test their back line, yet she was unable to find the net.

Meanwhile, New Caledonia and New Zealand, who are in the final, have qualified for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup next year.
