Young Swire Shipping Fijian Drua flanker Isoa Tuwai is starting to stamp his mark in the number 7 jersey following another outstanding performance over the weekend in the Drua’s 36-33 win over the Reds at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Tuwai had the most carries in the game with 18 carries and beating 5 defenders.
The 22-year-old also scored a try in the 54th minute of the match from a strong drive through off a ruck near the try line.
He was also in top form during defence, making a total of 17 tackles and completing 95 percent of them.
With his performance so far in the past few Super Rugby Pacific games he has played for the Drua, Tuwai could surely earn himself a call-up into the Fiji Water Flying Fijians squad for the test series lined up later this year.
Tuwai joined the squad as a Drua Development player and made his debut against the Brumbies in round 1 of this year’s Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific in Suva.
Meanwhile, the Drua still remains at the bottom of the table with 15 points despite their win over the weekend, and they will want to win their remaining three games ahead of them for a chance to make it into the top 6.
The Drua will take on the Blues at 7.05pm Friday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
