You are the backbone of Government so you should ensure high-quality public service.

This was the message from the Minister for Youth and Sports, Jese Saukuru while officiating at the closing of the Civil Service Day.

Sakuru expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the men and women of the Civil Service.

Earlier in the week, Saukuru emphasized the importance of the service in ensuring that public service is of an excellent and acceptable standard.

He highlighted the crucial role that the civil service plays in providing advisory and administrative support services to the elected government.

The Minister commended the civil service for their contributions in enabling the government to implement its mandate to govern the country and its people.

He says whether they are a driver, support staff, a policy director, or even a Permanent Secretary, their contributions carry a lot of weight in ensuring that they perform their duties well.
