Year 5 students of International School Suva showcased their annual exhibition work by incorporating a performing arts component, visual arts, dance and music yesterday at the ISS campus, Laucala Beach.

ISS Admissions and Marketing, Rebecca Pratt says the students are also encouraged to perform some kind of action step prompted by their learning of the topic.

Pratt says the exhibition will show the culmination of the Primary Year Programme (PYP) curriculum for 5 to 11-year-olds.

She says each Year 5 student focused on one topic of their choosing and interest and they presented by poster board or live presentations covering a wide range of topics.

She adds a variety of 20 topics covered by the Year 5 students of 2023 such as the importance of learning self-defense for personal safety, racism in police departments and soccer, the impact of football on mental and physical health and gender inequality in basketball and football to name a few.

The exhibition will continue today.
