Yat Sen wins boys netball open grade defeating St Thomas High 19-11

Yat Sen Secondary School are the winners of the boys open grade Punjas Digicel Netball Competition after defeating Saint Thomas High School 19-11 in the final this afternoon.

Yat Sen led 10-5 at halftime.

Captain Osea Baraki says their only game plan today was to make use of their tall players and it paid off.

Baraki says one of the strategies today was bringing their basketball skills into netball as well which helped them alot.

He has dedicated the win to all their supporters and fans.

Meanwhile, William Cross College will meet Yat Sen Secondary in the girls open grade final.

In the U19 grade, defending champion Adi Cakobau School will meet Suva Grammar School in the final.

ACS defeated Natabua High School 19-11 in the first semi final while Grammar beat Jasper Williams High School 23-13 in the second semi final. In the U17 grade, Yat Sen Secondary School will face Grammar in final.

U15 defending champion Jasper Williams will meet Grammar in the final.

All games will be held at the Vodafone Arena this afternoon.
