A woman is raising concerns about the safety and security in our neighbourhoods after the rental car she was driving was stoned and broken into at midnight last night in Nadera.

The victim, Vilimaina Vasukicakau, told fijivillage News that this is concerning and is calling on the police to do more patrols in these areas, especially when they are red zones.

Vasukicakau also raised the lack of urgency from the police, after she reported the matter to the Nadera Community Post and they were even provided with the name of the suspect by another colleague of hers while the police were still writing down her statement.

She adds that two other taxis were also stoned last night.

We have sent questions to the Police and they have confirmed that they are looking into this matter.
