A 24-year-old woman who is the third prosecution witness in the trial of Pastor Waisake Tulavu has told the Suva High Court that Tulavu had threatened her that she will die if she tells anyone that he has sexually assaulted her.

The woman told the court that when she went to Tulavu's house on the 15th of September, 2018 with her aunt, Tulavu called her and her aunt to the porch and said that he wants to have a private conversation with the woman where he told her aunt to go back to the room where the other youths were.

She says she thought that was part of the healing process and expected that she would start gaining weight after the prayer.

The woman says when her aunt left, Tulavu gave her three options which she had to choose from in order to be healed. The woman says the options were to be prayed over, make an agreement or for her to be delivered.

She says she chose the option to make an agreement however Tulavu told her that she cannot make an agreement and before that she has to be delivered. The woman says that Tulavu kept saying that she needs to be delivered.

She says Tulavu then started doing what he said was the healing process, but he started touching her private parts and massaging her stomach.

The 24 year old woman says she told her aunt about the incident after they left Tulavu’s house and reported the matter to police after 5 days.

She says later, Tulavu came to her relatives’ home in Samabula on the 21st of September to ask for forgiveness for what he had done. The woman told the court that Tulavu told her that he was playing with her that night.

The trial continues in the Suva High Court.
