Winning the series is the team's ultimate target, and taking one tournament at a time is their priority at the moment.

This is the message from Fiji Airways Men's National 7s utility back Pilipo Bukayaro as the team prepares for the HSBC Vancouver 7s next week.

He says eighty percent of the game is won off the field in terms of discipline and fitness, and the other twenty percent is won on the field.

The Buca-Bay Taveuni speedster says they have gone back to the drawing board and seen the mistakes from the tournament in Perth, and they have regrouped as a team.

Bukayaro says they have worked the hard yards in terms of discipline and fitness and are confident they can maintain their lead on the table.

The Vancouver 7s will be held from next Saturday to Monday 24th of this month.

Fiji will take on Uruguay at 7.18am next Saturday for their first pool match; they will then take on the USA at 12.45pm on the same day before playing Spain at 6.52am next Sunday in their last pool match.

The men’s cup quarter-final will kick off at 12.51pm next Sunday, the cup semi-finals will begin at 8.30 am Monday, 24th February, and the Cup Final will kick off at 1.05 pm.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s will take on Japan at 10am next Saturday in their first pool match; they will then play France at 3.52pm on the same day before playing Great Britain at 9.18am next Sunday in their last pool match.

The women’s cup quarter-finals will kick off at 3.32pm next Sunday, the semi-finals will begin at 9.14am on Monday, 24th February, and the cup final will kick off at 1.41pm.
