Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s Team Coach Gareth Baber says winning the Hong Kong 7s was one of their goals from the beginning of the season.

Baber says winning the Hong Kong title is one of the processes towards winning the series.

He says they are under no illusion as to how tough their pool is with the quality of teams that are opposite them.

Fiji will face Kenya, Australia and New Zealand in their pool which has been described as the ‘Pool of Death’.

Baber adds that he has players in the team that know what it feels like to win the Hong Kong 7s.

Baber says the players know that they are one family.

Fiji is aiming to win a record five titles in a row in the Hong Kong 7s.

Meanwhile, New Zealand 7s player Jona Nareki has completed one year with the team and is excited to return to the tournament where he made his debut.

New Zealand will wear their white jerseys in honour of the victims of the Christchurch terror attacks.

Fiji will take on Kenya at 11.37pm today in their first pool match of the Hong Kong 7s, they will then take on Australia at 5.13pm tomorrow and play their final pool match against New Zealand at 8.55pm tomorrow.

The Cup quarterfinals will start at 2.58pm Sunday, Cup semifinals start at 7.41pm Sunday while the Cup final is at 11pm Sunday.
