Be conscious of who you vote for - Bainimarama

FijiFirst Party candidate, Inia Seruiratu says most politicians are only focused on the elections during their campaigns, but elections are not the solution.

While speaking in the i-Taukei language during their rally at Bau College in Tailevu last night, Seruiratu says when politicians do not win the elections and do not go back into leadership, they start planning to cause trouble and use the military to cause disruptions just like what happened during the 1987 and 2000 coups.

He says the previous governments have been causing trouble for all Fijians, and that is when the then Commander of the RFMF stated that this should change.

Seruiratu adds they had to find out the source of trouble and how will it be solved, and when these questions were answered, they put together a plan to move Fiji forward to a prosperous future.

The FijiFirst candidate says we should not be going back to the troubled days when those politicians used to lead us, and he will not change his party because he was one of those people that was there from the start.

He says what the FijiFirst Government has been doing over the years is continuing their efforts on solving the issues raised by the people in 2008 when they launched the People’s Charter.

Meanwhile, FijiFirst Leader Voreqe Bainimarama has urged the people to be conscious when they cast their vote next Wednesday.

Bainimarama says in 2014, he met a man from Nakelo at the Nausori Market who told him that he will vote for him because he is from Tailevu, and Bainimarama told him not to vote for him because they are both from Tailevu, but to vote for him because he will protect every Fijian.

He says he has been protecting every Fijian from 2000 until now.
