Westpac Fiji and its employees have contributed $5,000 to the Fiji Cancer Society.

Westpac Fiji Chief Executive Kip Hanna says Westpac and its employees have come together to contribute towards the advocacy around cancer awareness and patient support through the Fiji Cancer Society.

Hanna says it is important that they all take the time to reflect on the work that is being done during the month of October and educate themselves and their people and they thank the Fiji Cancer Society for the great work that they have done.

Fiji Cancer Society President Makrava Wilson has acknowledged the continued support of Westpac over the past 20 years.

Wilson says it is through the generous contributions and support from organisations such as Westpac and its staff s that continue to enhance the work of the Fiji Cancer Society.

He says their work is not confined to just assisting in terms of medication, but they have gone beyond as well by providing transportation, toiletries, diapers, prosthetic bras and helping with housing requirements, visa and passport requirements, social welfare benefits and legal requirements.
