Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coach Mick Byrne is confident that the weather in Dunedin will not be an issue for the team as they will be playing in an indoor stadium when they take on the Highlanders in round 14 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition this weekend.

While speaking during the Fijian Drua weekly press conference, Byrne says Dunedin is a colder place to travel than Nadi and Suva but they will have their wet and warm gears with them.

He says playing in an indoor stadium, the weather will be cool, but it should be dry as well and adds the team is looking forward to it.

The Drua will be aiming for a win this weekend to keep their hopes for a playoff spot alive and also a chance to move up to 7th place.

They will also be looking to break their away-game losing streak and secure their first-ever away-game win since 2022.

The Drua will take on the Highlanders at 2.05pm this Sunday.

In other matches this week, the Chiefs play the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Friday, the Brumbies host the Rebels at 9.35pm Friday, Moana Pasifika take on the Waratahs at 4.35pm Saturday, the Crusaders play the Blues at 7.05pm Saturday, and the Reds meet the Force at 9.35pm Saturday.
