National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad

National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad says when they reach government, they will not have donors sitting on interview panels of candidates of political parties with the Attorney General and will also not have the Registered Officer be the Attorney General and also Minister responsible for Elections.

Prasad says they will also not allow major donors to sit on boards of major organisations or the Constitutional Offices Commission.

Prasad says the FijiFirst has promoted a climate of fear in the country and people are fearful of being associated with Opposition parties.

He says they all want proper transparency and accountability around donations and party funding but they also want political parties to thrive, to have active members and supporters and particularly for people who are not rich, who are not writing big cheques, to come forward and participate.
