Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Captain Meli Derenalagi has sounded warnings to other Super Rugby Pacific teams that will be participating next season that they are not coming to make the numbers, and they will be coming hard.

After an impressive 2023 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season, the Drua’s journey came to an end last night after losing 49-8 to the Crusaders.

Derenalagi says the competition has been a major learning for them.

He says they did not start well against the Crusaders, which cost them their place in the semi-finals.

He adds that they came into the competition not to make the numbers, and it was seen throughout the season.

The Drua captain also acknowledged the perseverance and dedication the players have put in this season and also the fans, who have always been behind the team.

In the first season, the Drua finished in 11th place, and in their second year finished 7th while creating history for reaching the quarter-finals.
