FIJI Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne

FIJI Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne has included three kickers in his starting line-up against Samoa in their Pacific Nations Cup clash, with a plan to win the territory battle.

Speaking to the media from their base in Rotorua, Byrne says Samoa will be preparing the best they can as they will hunt for their first win in the competition.

He says they will need to ensure that they are playing in Samoa’s territory most of the time.

He adds that the boys are focused on what they are going to do on the field today.

Meanwhile, the semi finals are still open wide with Fiji leading Pool A at 5 points with 1 win, Tonga is in second place with 4 points, while Samoa is in third place.

The Flying Fijians will take on Samoa at 3pm today at Rotorua International Stadium, New Zealand.

Japan will meet the USA at 1.05pm tomorrow.
