Police Chief of Operations ACP Abdul Khan.

Police Chief of Operations ACP Abdul Khan says they need to change the mindset of what Mead Road Housing is known for and work towards building a better future for the residents.

Khan met with the residents yesterday following another violent attack on Saturday where a group of people showed up and allegedly assaulted some people at Mead Road Housing.

He says Mead Road is not new to them in terms of its criminal landscape in the past however they want to change that.

Police have beefed up their manpower following the incident and Khan has assured people that they do not need to worry and officers will be on standby to assist.

Khan says they want to work with the people in this area to ensure them a better life and they do not want them to live in fear especially the children.

He adds we should not give a bad name to Mead Road Housing.
