As the Baby Kulas prepare to compete in the OFC U16 Women’s Championship in Samoa, coach Marika Rodu says the team is ready to represent Fiji with pride.

Rodu says the team is focused on building from their starting potential, and he is working to help the players understand their crucial roles in the tournament.

He says their immediate goal is to win their opening match against Tahiti and as the tournament progresses, they will learn more about the other teams in their group.

The coach acknowledges the challenges ahead in the pool stages, especially with strong opponents, but believes the team’s preparation will help the girls overcome them.

Fiji is pooled with host Samoa, Tahiti, and New Caledonia.

Fiji will face Tahiti at 10am on Friday.
