The Brumbies are looking forward to the challenge of playing in front of the world’s best rugby fans in Fiji and they know it is not going to be easy when they take on the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua in round 1 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.

Coach and former Wallabies flyhalf Stephen Larkham says they have had a good preparation with two trial games, but the challenge now is getting over to Fiji and dealing with the crowd and the heat and the humidity.

When speaking about the fans in Fiji, Larkham says they have certainly seen plenty of clips of the Fijian crowd and have heard plenty of noise coming out of that stadium, out of all the other stadiums in Fiji.

Larkham says he has been to Fiji many times, both for rugby trips and holidays, and he is aware that there is a fairly strong support for any of the Wallabies or Brumbies players who played through that golden period of rugby in Australia.

He says he would generally take as much Brumbies kit as he can when he comes to Fiji on holidays and try and distribute it.

The Brumbies will be hosted by the Fijian Drua at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva this Saturday at 3.35pm.
