Wardens ready to defend title as pools for Nawaka 7s released

Defending Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s champions Wardens will be looking to successfully defend their title this year after the pools for the 36th version of the tournament was confirmed last night.

Wardens is in pool 1 alongside Duibana, Nakaiolo and Vuda Green.

There will be 12 pools in the Fiji Bitter men's category with 48 teams confirmed, 6 pools in the Vodafone U21 category with 24 confirmed teams, 2 pools in the Vibulou women's category with 8 teams confirmed and 1 pool in the Fellow Fijians category with 4 teams confirmed.

Top teams like Police Blue in Pool 3, Police White in Pool 10, Raiwasa Taveuni in Pool 2, Ram Sami Army Red in Pool 4 and Ram Sami Army Green in Pool 9 are also looking to provide the challenge to Wardens in the tournament.

$10,000 will be up for grabs in the men's division while $3,000 will be on the plate for the 24 U21 teams.

The 8 women's teams will battle for $1,500 prize money, while the 4 Indo-Fijian teams will go head to head for the $700 prize money for the Fellow Fijians Division.

The Nawaka 7s begins tomorrow and will end on Saturday.
