Waqa scores twice as Labasa beats Ba 2-1 in VPL

Labasa vs Ba.

Veteran defender, Taniela Waqa scored twice as the Labasa soccer team beat Ba 2-1 in the last round of the Vodafone Premier League at Subrail Park.

Ilimotama Jese gave Ba the lead in the 19th minute but Waqa equalized for Labasa in the 45th minute.

Waqa then scored the winner in the second half.

The loss means Ba will finish the season with 23 points while Labasa has ended the season with 22 points.

Meanwhile, Navua will face Nasinu at 7 tonight to determine which side remains in the Premier Division next year.
