Vunakece aims to retain the 3,000 metres girls title in the Coca-Cola Games

Coca-Cola Games 3,000 metres girls defending champion, Loraini Vunakece of Tailevu North College is on track to retain her title in this year’s Fiji Finals.

Vunakece won the 3,000 metres open-grade girls final and also the Senior Girls 1,500 metres final in the Coca-Cola Tailevu Zone.

Evueli Taia of Saint Vincent College won gold in the 3,000 metres open-grade boys final.

Meanwhile, Nacanieli Rasoqosoqo of RKS won the Senior Boys 100 metres final while Makelesi Raiyawa of Saint Vincent College won the Senior Girls 100 metres final.

RKS and Tailevu North College are still leading the medal tally.

In the boys division, RKS is leading with 6 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze while Queen Victoria School is in second place with 1 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze.

Tailevu North College is in third place with 1 gold and 1 bronze.

In the girls division, Tailevu North College is leading with 7 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze while Saint Vincent College is in second place with 1 gold and 2 silver.

Dawasamu Secondary School is in third place with 1 gold.
