After two years away from rugby, Wadigi Salvo playmaker Nacanieli Vulo is making a come back to the sport he fell in love with while growing up.

Vulo says it is a blessing to be back playing rugby after spending two years farming back in his village.

Vulo says playing in the upcoming McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s will also be a blessing for him because it is one of the top sevens tournament in Fiji.

He adds the love for rugby and the struggles faced by his parents back in the village is what motivated him to make a comeback.

Vulo played for the Ovalau Rugby Team in the Vodafone Vanua Championship back in 2020 after returning from a stint with Boxhill Rugby Club in the Dewar Shield Competition in Melbourne but had to give up his rugby boots to farm.

The Coral Coast sevens tournament will be held from the 12th-14th of January, 2023.
