The Fiji Water Flying Fijians’ squad to play Japan in this weekend’s final round of the Punjas Pacific Battle Series has been named with veteran flyhalf Ben Volavola making his much-awaited return to the number 10 jersey.

Head Coach Simon Raiwalui says it's good to have Volavola back in the squad after he was nursing a niggling injury for the past few weeks.

Raiwalui says Volavola’s experience at number 10 will be a boost against Japan.

Raiwalui continues to test his combinations as he rotates his players for this crucial match on Saturday.

Eroni Mawi and Luke Tagi retain their places up front at props with Sam Matavesi coming back into the squad as hooker.

Albert Tuisue and Temo Mayanavanua will pair up in the locks with Lekima Tagitagivalu and Kitione Kamikamica on the flanks.

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua captain Meli Derenalagi will start at number 8.

There will be a new halves combination this weekend as Simione Kuruvoli gets his second consecutive start at half back and will pair up with Volavola.

Selestino Ravutaumada will make his third straight start on the left wing and will pair with Jiuta Wainiqolo who will start on the right.

Vilimoni Botitu will make his first start of the season at inside centre and will pair with Waisea Nayacalevu who will be at outside centre with Sireli Maqala starting at fullback.

There will be no lack of power on the bench as well having Peni Ravai, Tevita Ikanivere, Joseva Tamani and Frank Lomani in the reserves.

Nayacalevu will captain the side.
