Vodafone Fiji is once again reminding social media users to be wary of scammers and fraudsters who prey on unsuspecting and gullible consumers into revealing their personal and sensitive information by luring them with attractive offers.

This comes after concerns were raised about a fake Vodafone Facebook page.

Vodafone says as soon as they became aware of the fake Vodafone Facebook page created by some unknown person asking Facebook users to submit certain personal information to get a gift code, they promptly posted a warning on their Facebook page to be wary of the scam being orchestrated in Vodafone’s name.

They add they provided customers with the genuine and authentic Vodafone Facebook page link so that they could clearly differentiate between the fake and genuine FB page.

Vodafone adds consumers are warned not take everything circulating on social media as gospel truth.

They says consumers must be very cautious with their personal information and must never reveal such sensitive personal information such as financial account details and PIN numbers to anyone over the phone, email or via social media.
