To combat the widespread epidemic of non-communicable disease in the country, the Health Ministry, along with stakeholders, are using a variety of communication channels to spread its awareness.

Vision Investments Limited, which is committed to providing communities with the tools required to uphold a healthy lifestyle, has donated a TV set to the Valelevu Health Centre.

This is part of their effort towards improving awareness in the community by creating educational awareness by running health programs/talks, video clips etc for patients while waiting to be seen.

Vision Investments Limited says it has also launched a wellness program for its staff that includes friendly volleyball matches, exercise classes, and diet challenges.

The Valelevu Health Centre is the primary health care facility in the Nasinu to Suva corridor area and provides medical services to more than 88,000 Fijian (2019 est figures).
