Viria water project expected to be completed next year

Water Authority of Fiji CEO Barry Omundson says the government has already spent around 270 million dollars on the project.

The Viria water project in Rewa which will pump another 40 million litres of water into the water system for the Suva-Nausori corridor is already midway through completion.

More than 300,000 Fijians will benefit from this project.

It will help address water disruptions faced by people along the Suva-Nausori corridor.

Water Authority of Fiji CEO Barry Omundson says the government has already spent around 270 million dollars on the project.

He says the Viria project is expected to be completed next year.

This is the single largest infrastructure project ever managed by Water Authority of Fiji.
