Villages in Yasawa prepared as strong winds and heavy rain continues

Villages in Yasawa have prepared for the impending weather situation as strong winds and heavy rain continues in Yasawa.

Gunu Village Church Steward, Lakai Lesulala says some tree branches have fallen.

Lesulala says they expect the village to be flooded if the heavy rain continues tonight.

He adds they have prepared themselves and their evacuation centre is open.

Nasoqo Village Pastor, Viliame Stark says they are also prepared and have managed to complete repair works on homes that were partially damaged by Tropical Cyclone Yasa.
