700 villagers in the District of Bemana in Navosa are excited and relieved over the opening of the new Navosa Sub-Divisional Hospital in Keyasi by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday.

Bemana District Rep, Ratu Apenisa Navunisalevu says they would have to pay $100 to $250 for transportation to seek medical assistance at the Sigatoka Hospital.

He says sometimes villagers would have to resort to herbal medicine when it was hard or too late to take a sick villager to the Sigatoka Hospital.

Government has invested $30 million in this hospital which will provide services such as x-rays and ultrasounds, maternity services, pharmacy services, conduct surgeries and laboratory testing.
