As Fiji Airway Men’s national 7s prepares to take on Argentina in the quarter final of the Vancouver 7s, coach Ben Gollings says teams tough it out up stairs in their head and it is a key part of their performance and today they got it right.
Fiji beat Great Britain 26-15. They were down 15-0 at one point in the match.
He says people sometimes forget just how physical this game is but it is 99 percent mental.
Gollings says it has been a short turnaround from their performance in the Los Angeles 7s.
Fiji takes on Argentina in the second cup quarter final at 4.05pm today.
In other cup quarter finals matches, Great Britain takes on France at 3.37pm, New Zealand will play Australia at 4.35pm while USA takes on Ireland at 5.03pm.
