Vancouver 7s: Fijiana beats Canada 22-17 to finish 5th in Vancouver

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team has finished 5th at the Vancouver 7s after beating Canada 22-17 in the 5th place playoff.

Fiji’s Reapi Uluinasau was the star for the team scoring four tries in the game.

Uluinasau scored a hat-trick in the first half to give them a 17-7 lead at halftime.

Canada fought back in the second spell scoring two more unconverted tries in the 9th and 12th minute to level the scores at 17-17.

Uluinasau scored her fourth try of the match in the 14th minute to steal the win.

Meanwhile, New Zealand and Australia will play in the women’s cup final at 1.56pm today.

In the Men’s final France will play Argentina at 2.26pm.
