The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side has won their second pool match at the HSBC SVNS Vancouver 7s after defeating Canada 22-12 this afternoon.

Canada started strong with a converted try to Max Stewart to give them an early 7-point lead, but Fiji managed to break through Canada’s defence to level the points through Ponipate Loganimasi.

Canada showed determination, and they went over the try line again from Thomas Isherwood, however, Fiji replied from a try to Jeremaia Matana to level the points at 12-all at the break.

Matana scored his second try in the second half, while Terio Tamani sealed Fiji’s victory with a try in the final dying seconds.
