Swire Shipping Fijian Drua flyhalf Kemueli Valetini has received high praise from coach Glen Jackson after his exceptional performance against the Reds in his first-ever start at number 10.
Valetini played the whole 80 minutes, and Jackson says he is happy with how the 30-year-old led the team around the field throughout the whole game.
Jackson says they know they have a quality rugby player in Valetini.
Meanwhile, veteran prop and stand-in Captain Mesake Doge says he was happy with how the boys dealt with the pressure, especially in the last few minutes of the game.
Doge says the players were calm and collected, and they want to take that into their next match against the Blues this week.
The Drua will host the Blues this week for the first time at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, and they will look to back up the win on Saturday and claim their first-ever win over the Blues.
The match kicks off at 7.05pm Friday.
In other matches this week, the Waratahs will play the Reds at 9.35pm Friday, the Crusaders will take on the Chiefs at 7.05pm Saturday and the Force will host the Brumbies at 9.35pm Saturday.
