Stepping up to lead the team around the field at flyhalf will be the biggest thing for Swire Shipping Fijian Drua utility back Kemueli Valetini today when they take on the Reds in round 12 of the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Valetini says he is also just getting his habit around playing a different role this week.
He says it has been a while since he has played 10, so it is nothing he is not familiar with.
When asked if he feels any pressure being selected to step up into this role, the Galoa, Kadavu man says he is not really too bothered by what happens outside of the field, but he is just more worried about what happens today and how they perform as a team.
The 30-year-old will be starting at flyhalf for the Fijian Drua for the first time ever and he will be looking to cement his spot by putting in an outstanding performance today.
When asked about the morale in camp, especially with them trying to slip their way into the top 6 by the end of the round-robin competition, Valetini says it was not the season that they wanted to have and it is a bit difficult when they have not been finishing off games and winning games that they should have won.
He says for them, it is about this week, and it is about putting in a good performance that they are proud of and getting to win in front of their home fans.
The Drua will take on the Reds at 2.05pm today at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
