Vakaloloma remanded for allegedly murdering a man outside a Suva Motel in 2022

A 24-year-old man who is charged with the alleged murder of another 24-year-old man in 2022 has been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court.

Ledua Vakaloloma appeared before Magistrate Krishnan Prasad today.

Magistrate Prasad has transferred the case to the Suva High Court and says this case is solely in the jurisdiction of the High Court.

It is alleged that on the 2nd of April, 2022, Vakaloloma allegedly assaulted Lemeki Duidomo with an iron rod outside a motel in Suva causing serious injuries.

The victim was rushed to the CWM Hospital where he died from the injuries sustained.

The case has been adjourned to the 20th of May 2024.
