The Ministry of Health and Medical Services confirms the COVID-19 vaccination programme for children has been deferred to Monday 4th October 2021 to synchronise the vaccination deployment effort with the digital platform support.

The Ministry says during this period, the vaccine information for Fijians below the age of 18 years who have received the first dose will be manually entered in the digital registry for ease of access to vaccine authentication.

The Health Ministry also confirms that the vaccination programme for Fijians below the age of 18 years is progressing well, with 17,900 children vaccinated to date.

The adverse events reporting system has recorded zero reports of concern among vaccinated children in Fiji.

All parents and guardians who wish to have their child or children vaccinated are encouraged to register their vaccine eligible child online at: https://vra.digitalfiji.gov.fj/MinorsRegistration/index

The requirements for online registration are Birth Registration Number which can be found on the Birth Certificate/Citizenship Number/Permit Number of parent/guardian filling the registration, valid photo identification of parent/guardian, date of birth, personal contact information, child’s full name and child’s Birth Registration Number.
