Good news as VOU have officially launched the Fijian Flying Circus, Fiji’s own contemporary circus show – a groundbreaking creative venture that blends acrobatics, theatre and Pacific storytelling together with their partners in the Fiji Arts Council and Communications Fiji Limited.

VOU Director, Sachiko Soro says at the heart of this initiative is a powerful purpose and that is empowering young Fijians through the arts and creating new pathways in the cultural and creative industries.

CFL General Manager, Charles Taylor says they have been associated with Sachiko since the Rock Challenge where she was the principal dancer for International School Suva.

Taylor says since the Fijian Flying Circus last year it has brought up thoughts of having the Tadra Kahani again in the secondary schools because that is what it is missing.

Fiji Arts Council Director, Maciusela Raitaukala says culture, heritage and arts does not only provide a sense of identity it also has the capacity to unite and bring people together from different backgrounds.

The Fijian Flying Circus will be in Suva from the 4th to the 20th of July and in Nadi from the 2nd to the 20th of August.
