The Fiji Men’s 7s team will play Argentina at 2.30pm today in the second semifinal of the Tokyo Olympics 7s competition.

The national side booked their place in the semifinal after overcoming Australia 19-0 last night.

Fiji's captain Jerry Tuwai showcased his class as he scored two tries while Aminiasi Tuimaba got one try.

It was another brilliant defensive effort by Fiji as they connected with their tackles and won a number of penalties from the breakdown.

Tuwai scored the first try of the match after making a brilliant line break from inside Fiji’s half.

Waisea Nacuqu made a try-saving tackle just before half-time as Fiji led 7-0 at the break.

Fiji nearly scored a try but the play was called back for a knock-on by a Fiji player after the start of the second half.

It was once again Tuwai who delivered under pressure as he sidestepped his way through the Australian defence and got Fiji’s second try.

Tuimaba then sealed the win for Fiji after breaking through the Australian defence.

Fiji will play Argentina at 2.30pm today.

Argentina beat South Africa 19-14 with 6 players after Gastón Revol was red-carded in the first half.

New Zealand will play Great Britain at 2pm in the first semi-final.

The final will be played at 9 tonight.
