Umlesh Lata wins 1st prize in Navtarang and Radio Sargam Diwali Sweets and Savouries Competition

Winner of the Navtarang and Radio Sargam Ashabhai and Golden Harvest Baking Range sponsored Diwali Sweets and Savouries Competition Umlesh Lata

Umlesh Lata has won $500 in the Navtarang and Radio Sargam Ashabhai and Golden Harvest Baking Range sponsored Diwali Sweets and Savouries Competition after she prepared 12 different types of Indian sweets.

Lata says it took her two days to prepare the sweets which also included an Indian Vakalolo.

She says she will use the prize money to prepare food for the residents of the Old People’s Home.

She says cooking is her hobby and she loves to try new recipes.

Diwali will be celebrated on Monday.
