University of the South Pacific’s private students who are not under any scholarship or loans scheme can now get financial assistance for up to 50% as the University will offset the high cost of tertiary education for eligible undergraduate and post graduate studies.

The University says the Student Bursary Scheme will only be available to students who are fully privately-funded and it will cover up to 50% of total tuition fees.

To qualify for the Scheme, students must have a combined family income of or less than $25,000 and should have completed at least one semester of study and has a Grade Point Average of 2.5 or better.

USP says undergraduate students who do not qualify for the TSLB schemes must submit a written declaration and evidence from TSLB confirming this.

The University adds that the scheme will only cover one student per family.

Applications close on 3rd March.
