The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua suffered another loss to the Brumbies in the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific, going down 38-21 at GIO Stadium, Canberra.

The Drua started off strong in the first 15 minutes of the first half, attacking and defending their try line.

Brumbies centre Len Ikitau scored the first try of the match to help the host side lead 7-0.

A few minutes later, the Brumbies scored again through Ryan Lonergan to put them to a 14-0 lead.

The Drua rallied together and pushed forward, scoring their first try through Elia Canakaivata to close the gap to a 14-7 game.

Drua’s defence was left exposed in the final 10 minutes of the first half, giving the Brumbies the advantage to score another two tries through Ikitau and Andy Muirhead.

The Brumbies led the Drua 28-7 in the first half.

The Drua came back firing in the second half to score back-to-back tries from Motikai Murray and Tevita Ikanivere to close the gap to 28-21.

The Brumbies put on the pressure against the Drua, making the Fijian boys commit a lot of mistakes.

Ikitau scored his third try in the 50th minute to put the Brumbies out of reach from the Drua.

The Drua showed determination as they tried their very best to cross the Brumbies try line, however, Ikanivere’s try in the 55th minute of the match was disallowed after TMO ruled that Ikanivere knocked the ball forward at the try line.

The final 10 minutes sent the crowd on their feet as both teams showed they wanted the win.

With the Drua trailing by 12 points, another mistake resulted in Murray receiving a yellow card for a high tackle in the 78th minute.

The Brumbies took advantage of that and managed to cross the Drua’s try line to collect a bonus point win.

In another result, the Hurricanes edged the Highlanders 20-18.
