Two teenage brothers believed to have drowned at Vuda Point, Lautoka

Police are continuing their search for two teenage brothers who are believed to have drowned at Vuda Point in Lautoka today.

They have confirmed that the Water Police Team and about 20 other officers are currently at the scene, searching for the brothers.

Police has confirmed the brothers were playing with their friends when the incident occurred.

The brothers are aged 17 and 18 years old.

Police say it is alleged that the 18 year old brother was trying to get the ball from the water and when he struggled to surface, the 17 year old came for his assistance where both of them are believed to have drowned.

Investigations continue.
