The All Blacks have confirmed that Patrick Tuipulotu and Anton Lienert-Brown will miss the second Test against Argentina after suffering serious injuries in Cordoba, and will travel home to New Zealand on Wednesday morning.
Lock Tuipulotu was admitted to hospital for monitoring after the game and Robertson confirmed his absence will be felt for awhile with the rest of the Rugby Championship uncertain.
All Blacks Coach Scott Robertson says Patty is unfortunate, he’s had a tough run and his value on and off the field is a great presence, he makes great decisions, his lineout calling is invaluable.
Robertson says they have options with Josh Lord and Samipeni Finau can play six and cover lock.
He says in positive news, breakthrough player of the year Wallace Sititi and loosehead prop Tamaiti Williams are expected back from injuries to boost the forward pack.
The All Blacks face Argentina at 9.10am Sunday and the Wallabies will play South Africa at 3.10am Sunday.
