It will be a battle of the best number 8 in the Pacific when Fiji Water Flying Fijians’ Albert Tuisue come up against former All Blacks and Tonga’s number 8 Vaea Fifita in today’s round 1 of the Punjas Series Pacific Battle between the Flying Fijians and the Ikale Tahis.

Tuisue who is one of the top-rated utility forward in Fiji has been impressive this season for his new club Gloucester Rugby in the English Premiership Rugby competition after moving from London Irish.

So far the rugged forward has accumulated over 20 test caps for Fiji and has been one of the go-to starters whether it be in the second row or the back row.

On the other hand, Tonga’s Vaea Fifita brings with him a whole lot of experience in the back row with 11 test caps for the All Blacks and 69 appearances for the Hurricanes in the then Super Rugby competition before signing for Scarlets Rugby.

Fans will surely be in for a treat for this game today and the battle between the two players is sure to bring out the hype in the game.

Flying Fijians coach Simon Raiwalui earlier said this week that it is always going to be a physical battle when two Pacific Islands teams meet, and with matchups like this, it surely is expected to turn up the heat at Churchill Park in Lautoka today.

The Flying Fijians will take on Tonga at 3pm.
