FIJI Water Flying Fijian player Albert Tuisue is aiming for a spot in the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France after missing out on selection in 2019.

The Gloucester No.8 says it was quite emotional for him as he had done his best but was dropped, and he is hopeful to make the squad to the World Cup this year.

He says the last four weeks have been great in terms of bonding, especially for the Fijian Drua boys and the overseas-based players.

Tuisue says they have seen the game last week where a few young players made their debut, and they played really well.

He hopes they will have a good outcome against Japan tomorrow.

Tuisue will partner with Temo Mayanavanua in a new second-row combination, with Lekima Tagitagivalu, Kitione Kamikamica and Meli Derenalagi filling the back row.

Fiji will play Japan at 10.15pm tomorrow.
