Turaga na Tui Suva, Sanaila Madanavosa

Today marks the momentous occasion as Turaga na Tui Suva, Sanaila Madanavosa traditionally approved the reconstruction of the Vale ni Bose or the Great Council of Chiefs Complex.

Madanavosa says this was a historic moment for the nation, reflecting the commitment to preserve and celebrate the unique cultural identity of the iTaukei people.

He says the project was not just about physical reconstruction but also about revitalising cultural roots and ensuring a legacy for generations to come.

The Turaga na Tui Suva says the GCC Complex is a symbol of cultural and historical significance that holds a special place in the hearts of the Fijian people.

He further says the reconstruction is a testament to the commitment to preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the iTaukei community.

He adds this decision ushers in a new era, signifying a landmark event for the iTaukei people and the cultural heritage of the nation.
