This court is more than a sports facility; it is a platform for our youth to develop their skills, build character, and dream big.

This is the sentiment shared by the Minister for Youth and Sports Jese Saukuru while handing over the newly constructed Tuatua Housing Multipurpose Court in Labasa.

He says the multipurpose court is built at a cost of $168,458.

Saukuru says the multipurpose court will cater to sports such as netball and volleyball, fostering talent development and strengthening community bonds.

He adds the role of sports is also critical in building resilience, discipline, and leadership among young people.

The Minister says they are proud to empower the Tuatua Community and look forward to seeing future Fiji sports representatives emerge from this space.

He also reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to the National Youth and Sports Policy, which seeks to ensure equitable access to quality sports infrastructure across Fiji.
