Tonight’s planned water shutdown for residents between Suva & Nausori postponed

Tonight’s planned water shutdown for several areas between Suva and Nausori has been postponed by the Water Authority of Fiji because of bad weather.

They are yet to confirm the new date for the planned shutdown.

The shutdown was being carried out to find out why these areas have frequent water disruptions and to prevent a prolonged water disruption in the future.

WAF also planned to repair a pump at Waila Treatment Plant during the shutdown.

Areas that could have been affected include Makoi, Nepani, Nadawa, Ratu Dovi Road, Dibulu, Lokia, Davuilevu, Nakasi, Koronivia, and Central Christian Centre in Davuilevu, Kaliveitau, Veitata, Tovata Road, Qaranivalu, Caubati Koro, Daniva, Niubalavu, Raikiwai, Niuvula, Niusawa Lane, Tacirua East, Cunningham, Khalsa Road, Valelevu, Caqiri, Nawanawa, Koka, Kinoya Road, Vasant Lal Vesivesi, and Yasiyasi, Kinoya, Caubati, Manohan, Centre Point, Laucala, Nokonoko, Koka, Kinoya Road, Fletcher, and Mukta Ben, Ratu Sukuna Road, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Muanikau Road, Laucala Bay Road, Bau Road, McGregor Road, Domain Road and Victoria Parade.

Areas also include Wrong Turn, Sakoca, Upper Khalsa, Tacirua Heights and Nagatugatu residents living beside the reservoir, Tamavua Koro, Upper Ragg, Deovji Street, Tacirua Bus, Amputch Street, and Princes Road, Seventh Day Church Dokanaisuva to Tacirua Fijian School, and Vunuleba Settlement, Naisogo, Colo‐i‐Suva Crest Chicken, Marshall Road, Taqairua, Vunikawai, Uluibeka, Colanaivau, Valesasa, Naitaqiri and Nillgiri.
