Nancy Tikoisuva

Nancy Tikoisuva has been appointed as the Acting Director of Public Persecutions.

The Judicial Services Commission says the President Ratu Naiqama Lalabavu, on the recommendations of the Commission following consultation with the Attorney General Graham Leung has appointed Tikoisuva to be the Acting DPP, effective from February, Monday 10th.

They say the appointment of an Acting DPP has been necessary given the physical absence from Fiji of Christopher Pryde.

The Commission says Pryde has proceeded to take annual leave for a further 3 weeks from 3rd February.

They add as a matter of natural justice, he is required to reply to further abuse of office allegations.

The Commission says following Pryde’s response, the Commission will reconvene to deliberate further and follow processes set out in the Constitution of Fiji.

They says Tikoisuva has served previously as Acting DPP from 11th July 2024 to 16th January 2025.

The Commission adds they are confident that Tikoisuva will perform the duties of the Office of the DPP with dignity and integrity.

They say the Commission remains steadfast in upholding the rule of law, fairness, and justice, ensuring the continued functionality of the Office of the DPP and serving the people of Fiji with integrity and accountability.
