Thousands of residents in Namadi Heights and Ragg Avenue in Suva have been without water since 2am today and Water Authority of Fiji has not given a time as to when supply will normalise.

In a facebook post two days ago WAF had said that people will face low water pressure and intermittent water supply from yesterday to about 6am today as they install a provision to allow redirection of water supply from the Khalsa Booster Pump into the Tacirua Reservoir, to improve water supply to customers fed from this reservoir.

A concerned resident has informed fijivillage News that there was no warning and their plans for the day have been ruined.

The resident says she had to go to work this morning but she could not because they had no water at home.

While responding to questions by fijivillage News, WAF Chief Operating Officer, Seru Soderberg says works were completed at about 8.30 this morning.

He says restoration works have started but cannot confirm when supply will be fully restored.
