Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says the Fijian Electoral system is the best to get as many women, youths, persons with disabilities or any advocacy group into parliament because its a popular system.
While speaking at the Your Vote Matters Intergenerational Panel Talanoa at USP, Saneem says a popular candidate will get a bulk of the votes, the support candidates get few votes each and they will be in parliament.
He says people will come on merit.
Saneem adds parties need to field these youths so they can actually contest the elections.
